Die Canon R5C ist eine sehr kompakte Vollformat-Filmkamera mit RF-Mount. Sie verfügt über einen 36 x 24-mm-CMOS-Sensor und kann 8k-Videos mit bis zu 30 Bildern pro Sekunde und in Zeitlupe mit bis zu 120 Bildern pro Sekunde in 4k aufzeichnen und mit externer Stromversorgung sogar 8K 60p erreichen. Darüber hinaus kann sie in 12-Bit Cinema RAW Light (LT / ST / HQ) und XF-AVC und HEVC mit 4:2:2 10-Bit aufzeichnen. Sie kann Fotos mit 45 Megapixeln aufnehmen und hat einen ISO-Wert von bis zu 51 200.
Die Kamera verfügt über einen hocheffektiven Autofokus dank Dual Pixel CMOS AF Technologie mit Eye AF und EOS iTR AF X. Sie ist außerdem mit dem Canon Log 3 ausgestattet und hat damit einen beeindruckenden Dynamikumfang. Sie kann in Raw- und Cinema Raw-Licht fotografieren. Und das neue Kühlsystem ermöglicht langlebige Aufnahmen.
Die Kamera kann die elektronische Stabilisierung und die Objektivstabilisierung kombinieren, um schöne, ruhige Bilder zu erhalten.
Zudem verfügt sie über zwei Speicherkartensteckplätze, einen für CFexpress Typ B und einen für SD/SDHC/SDXC (UHS-II). Darüber hinaus verfügt sie über Anschlüsse für Timecode, 3,5-mm-Mikrofon, Micro-HDMI, Flash-Sync und USB-C.
