De Fujifilm X-H2S is een snelle mirrorless camera met een 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans Stacked BSI Sensor & X processor 5. De camera kan tot 40 fps burst opnamen maken zonder blackout met de elektronische sluiter en 30 fps fotograferen en hij kan tot 15 fps met de mechanische sluiter met minder rolling shutter. Hij heeft verder een ISO van 160 - 12 800 en uitgebreid van 80 - 51 200.
Hij kan intern open gate 6.2K opnemen in 30p in 4:2:2 10-bits en in 4K tot 120p en kan intern zowel H.264 en H.265 als Apple ProRes. Daarnaast is er een mogelijkheid om extern in ProRes Raw en Blackmagic Raw opnemen. Hij ondersteunt ook HEIF formaat die 10 bit diepte heeft en kleiner is dan JPEG. De camera is ook voorzien van F-Log 2 voor een grotere dynamisch bereik.
Hij heeft een verbeterde autofocus met onderwerp detectie en heeft 7 stops van in body stabilisatie.
Kwa aansluitingen hij is voorzien van full HDMI, een USB-C en een 3,5 mm mini jack en hij heeft ook ingebouwde wifi en bluetooth.
De afmetingen van de camera zijn 136 x 93 x 85 mm en hij weegt 660g.
