The Leica Summilux-M 50mm F/1.4 ASPH (Leica M) is a high-resolution, high-contrast lens with low chromatic aberrations. The lens is composed of 8 elements in 5 groups and the minimum focusing distance is 70cm. 

The focal length of 50mm is versatile and offers many possibilities: street or travel photography as well as portraits. Furthermore, the lens is completely manual. 

Thanks to the 6 bit coding, the camera can receive metadata from the lens.
