Panasonic GH5 II body

The Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5II Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera is the successor to the GH5 and is known as a video workhorse.

The camera has a 20.3 Megapixel Micro Four Thirds sensor without Low Pass-filter, which results in detailled videos and photos. In addition, the camera has internal stabilisation up to 6.5 stops (in combination with native Panasonic IS lenses). The GH5II has a maximum resolution of 5184 x 3888. The sensor dimensions are 17.3 x 13 mm. This is a 4:3 sensor, which is very suitable for anamorphic. The camera can record in 4K up to 60p and FHD up to 180p. Moreover, the camera can record 4:2:2 10-bit video up to 400mbps internally (when using the provided SD cards). That much information allows you to apply complex color grades.

Furthermore, the GH5II has a full-size HDMI input which allows you to record up to 4K 60P in 4:2:2 10-bit on external recorders such as the Atomos Ninja V. The camera also has a 3.5mm mic input, headphone jack, articulating screen and USB-C port that can be used to charge the camera. Panasonic mirrorless cameras such as the GH5II are popular amongst filmmakers for providing features such as the ability to record in shutter angle, zebras for over exposure, waveform and the option to use XLR microphones with the Panasonic DMW-XLR1E microphone adapter for better audio.

Finally, the GH5II is weather sealed and with the provided batteries you will be able to film a whole shoot-day without any problems. The camera is powered by DMW-BLK22 batteries which are good for approximately 410 shots.
