The Blackmagic Design PYXIS 6K Cinema Box Camera marks a major step forward in digital film technology, building on the innovations of the Cinema Camera 6K. This box-style camera, with a native Leica L lens mount and customizable side plates, is designed for versatility and adaptability in professional filming environments. The 36 x 24 mm full-frame 6K sensor delivers breathtaking images with rich colors, accurate skin tones and a dynamic range of 13 stops, ensuring exceptional image quality under various lighting conditions.

The camera comes with two BP-U batteries, each offering approximately 2.5 to 3 hours of runtime when recording in Blackmagic RAW at 6048 x 4032 (Open Gate 3:2) at 36 fps. Additionally, two 512GB CFexpress Type-B cards are included, allowing for around 20 minutes of recording per card with the same settings.

The PYXIS offers filmmakers the freedom to work with different film formats and aspect ratios without compromising on image quality. Whether using Open Gate 3:2 for more flexibility in post-production or using 6:5 anamorphic for an authentic cinematic look, the PYXIS supports various resolutions and frame rates, from HD to 6K video and 24.6 MP still images. This makes it possible to bring stories to life with precision and clarity.

The PYXIS also excels in HDR imaging and dual-native ISO performance, with wide dynamic range and minimal noise even in difficult lighting conditions. With dual-native ISO up to 25,600, the camera offers exceptional image quality while maintaining full dynamic range regardless of lighting conditions.
