Designed specifically for high-end cinematography, the Canon RF 35mm f/1.4L VCM lens combines features of an L-series hybrid wide-angle prime lens. Thanks to its fast maximum aperture of f/1.4, this lens performs excellently in low light. The 11-blade iris creates soft, cinematic bokeh, while minimum focus breathing ensures smooth focusing. The focus ring offers full-time manual control with override, and the iris ring is also manually adjustable for flexibility during filming.

This lens uses a Voice Coil Motor (VCM) for lightning-fast floating focus and a Nano USM for quiet, precise autofocus. The advanced optical design includes specially developed elements that virtually eliminate chromatic aberrations and color fringes, resulting in exceptional clarity and accurate color reproduction. In addition, two ultra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements are present to further minimize various aberrations and distortions for optimal sharpness and resolution.
