The Rode VXLR + is an adapter that lets you connect a microphone with 3.5 mm TRS connector to the XLR input of a camera, recorder or mixer. The VXLR + also converts 12-48V phantom power to 3-5V plug-in power, allowing lavalier, headset and shotgun microphones to be powered by the XLR connector.
The adapter has a female TRS 3.5 mm connector on one end and a male XLR connector on the other. The 3.5 mm connector is threaded to make sure the mic does not disconnect while recording.
