The Sony FE 24-70mm F/2.8 GM II belongs to Sony's G-Master series of lenses and has a zoom range of 24-70mm with a constant maximum aperture of F2.8 and designed for full frame cameras. It is a very compact lens with excellent bokeh thanks to its 11-blade aperture unit. It further has high resolution thanks to the two ED glass elements, two super ED glass elements.
The lens can be used with versatility, from landscape photography/videography to portraiture, without changing lenses, due to constant performance throughout the entire zoom range. It has an enhanced autofocus for fast and accurate autofocus. It is constructed of 20 elements in 15 groups and its minimum focusing distance is 0.21 m at 24 mm and 0.30 m at 70 mm.
The lens measures 87.6 x 136mm, it has a filter size of 82mm and weighs 695g, so 20% lighter than its predecessor!
