The Sony a9 III is a mirrorless camera with the world's first Global Shutter, designed for sports, wildlife, photojournalism and more. With its advanced sensor technology, this camera rises above the norm for full-frame imaging. It offers the capability of continuous raw shooting at up to 120 fps and flash synchronization up to the maximum shutter speed of 1/80,000 second. The combination of the 24.6MP sensor, the powerful BIONZ XR processor and Sony's AI Processing Unit results in a responsive and reliable camera system that meets expectations for those looking for solid performance.
The α9 III's Global Shutter sensor provides distortion-free image expression in both video and stills. This makes it easy for creators to shoot images of landscapes from a fast-moving car, for example. This camera is the first in Sony's Alpha series that can record 4K 120p video at a high frame rate without cropping. In addition, it is possible to capture high-resolution 4K 60p video with 6K oversampling with the α9 III.
